COLLETTE - Dr. Kathleen G., a doctor of veterinary medicine, died peacefully in her home on September 27, 2000 after her courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was 43. Dr. Collette attended St. Jerome Grammar School and went on to graduate from St. Thomas Aquinas High school in 1982, she graduated from the University of Florida, receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Kathy returned to Ft. Lauderdale, and opened her successful animal clinic (Capital Animal Hospital). Dr. Collette was a member of the AVMA, as well as a faithful and practicing member of the Christian community. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Toni Collette; sister, Laurie Jacobson; brother, Chris Collette; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Kim Collette; niece and nephew, Michelle and Brian Collette; aunt Janice -Collette; cousin Paul Collette and his wife, Barbara and their daughter, Amber; as well as her true friend through life, Sue Hanson, all of whom reside in Fort Lauderdale. Faithful and loving animals, Sally, Diana, and Lacey further survive her. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all of Kathy's many supportive and loving friends, as well as her caregivers for all the love they bestowed to her. She will truly be missed by all of those whose lives she touched so deeply.
